CLIQUE LIST [09 Mar 2005|01:42pm]
Because there are so many students at Hanover, it seems hard sometimes to determine who's 'in' and who's 'out.' And because the clique members are ever - changing, the list below keeps track.

CLIQUES [05 Mar 2005|08:55pm]
Like any other high school, Hanover is full of groups and cliques; but all make up the three groups of the student body : the in-crowd, the average, and the outcasts. Although they never identify themselves with names, the students in each group are friends in school and out. They study, party and work together, with a few inter-clique exceptions. And just like the bigger cliques, there are smaller ones, too. Most party girls are considered members of the In-Crowd, while the more studious teenagers are often grouped with the average kids or the outcasts.

THE IN-CROWD ; ACCEPTING 28 IN TOTAL
Close and elite, the in-crowd consists of a handful beautiful and rich Hanover students. They have their own outrageous parties and go on tropical vacations - and only the very best are invited to join them. There are many smaller cliques inside this group; like this in-crowd brains, jocks, etc., but many of the students dislike one another. But being a member of the in-crowd is a coveted spot, and someone isn't going to give it up over a petty argument.

THE AVERAGE ; ACCEPTING 35 + IN TOTAL
Although no one at Hanover Academy is the normal standard of average, these students comprise the large percentile of the student body. Not as glamorous as the in-crowd, most of the average are approachable and down-to-earth. They're still rich and gorgeous, but not as full of themseleves as the in-crowders may be. Every once in a while, an average seems to sparkle a little brighter than the rest and are invited to join the seemingly exclusive in-crowd.

THE OUTCASTS ; ACCEPTING 20 IN TOTAL
Hanover outcasts are considered the school's low life by almost all their peers and faculty. They can be easily identified : usually the over-eager, overachiever students who sit straight backed in the first row of every class, or the slouching kids who drag their feet throughout the fancy private school's halls. Resented by their classmates and annoying to their teachers, outcasts almost never make it off the bottom of the social ladder. But as a plus, they tend to flock together and make their own groups of friends.

Each large group has their own smaller cliques, too. Many spread out amongst the student body, which helps the groups meet and mix but still stay seperate.

RULES [05 Mar 2005|08:50pm]
001. Be nice to everyone when you're OOC. This is just a given.
002. OOC and IC are seperate. OOC is strictly for its specified journal. If you want to make an OOC comment in a post (example: a thread), put it behind an lj - cut.
003. Journals must be updated often, at least once a week. You should also be very active in the threading aspect of this community. If you need to leave or go on hiatus for any reason, contact one of the moderators.
004. All major storylines must be cleared with a mod. There will be some exceptions to this rule (really, really spur of the moment, usually in threading), but besides that, eating disorders, parties, weddings, must be cleared and okay - ed. We don't want six people eloping and then having a baby!
005. If something does happen between one or more people OOC, work it out like adults, or contact a mod if they are not aware of the problem. It just works better without everyone hating each other.
006. Before you apply, check to make sure the first name, last name, and PB of the character is open. A duplicate without explanation will be rejected immidiately!
007. Originality / creativity are very good things.
008. Lastly, have fun! That's what it's all about.
